Join BBE in Spain for an itinerary handmade by our staff to enjoy a beautiful and historic area tucked away in the Pyrenees. Just two and a half hours from Toulouse lies the picturesque Aran Valley, home of Spain's largest ski resort. Val D'Aran is unique in that it faces north, turning its back to Spain and gazing towards France. This means snow, and lots of it, all season long.

After a quick warm up in the Baqueira-Beret ski station and its sidecountry, we enjoy four days of hut-to-hut skiing with varying options for summits, couloirs, and mountain passes. With two guides on the trip, ambitious skiers can head for harder lines, conditions allowing. Adding cozy accomodations to a mouthwatering local cuisine, this is a fantastic opportunity to experience the hospitality of the Aranese people, the valley's centuries-old alpine villages and Romanesque churches dating from the XIII Century, as well as its system of mountain huts just waiting to be discovered. For those with the legs, add our Monte Aneto Extension to summit and ski the highest peak of all the Pyrenees!

Lead Guide Willie Benegas needs no introduction. Himalayan guiding veteran and true expert, he is known for his energy and enthusiasm, teaching skills, and the passion with which he builds his teams into more strong and independent adventurers.

Here we embark on a 5-day hut-to-hut ski tour skinning up the spectacular Gerber Valley to make an ascent of the Pico De Amitges, and next to it the Pico de Saboredo. From the col connecting the summits we ski down to the comforts and delicious food of the Refugio Amitges. (B, L, D)
