Norway often seems remote to outsiders, even mysterious, with a thousand years of history since the marauding days of the Vikings. BBE invites you to experience Norway at its most magical, immersed in nature in vast stretches of serene, postcard-perfect landscapes.

Upcoming Dates

June 30 - July 7

July 7 - July 14

Norway stretches north in a long, slender band from the Skagerrak, the choppy channel that separates the country from Denmark, its coastline battered and buffeted by the Atlantic as it juts up towards the Arctic Sea.

Behind this rough and rocky coast are spectacular mountain ranges, harsh upland plateaux, plunging river valleys, rippling glaciers, deep forests and mighty fjords of unsurmounted beauty – an exhilarating landscape begging to be explored, as we will: by foot, kayak and rock!

Lead Guide Willie Benegas needs no introduction. Himalayan guiding veteran and true expert, he is known for his energy and enthusiasm, teaching skills, and the passion with which he builds his teams into more strong and independent adventurers.

During our treks and climbs we will be camping with Style.  You might find yourself waking up to a hot tea delivered with a smile right to the foot of your tent each morning, or playing cards in the dining tent during afternoon tea with new acquaintances, or enjoying a fine meal prepared by our cook staff that is present on each trip. Camping will take on a new meaning for you!

The currency in Norway is the krone (NOK). Cash machines are still the best way to get money in country, so if you are in doubt, be sure to bring your cash card
