Benegas Brothers Expeditions

imageimageOur team is on the way to Lobuche East Lake Camp at 5300m! This will be our first rotation of the trip, to reach and sleep at over 6000m. It’s also a great opportunity to practice with our full rigs on fixed line, and run through safety procedures.

We’ve enjoyed an amazing three days setting up and settling into our EBC, seeing our long term staff aka family, enjoying our comfortable personal tents, and delicious food from our cook Raj and kitchen team, and even a hot shower!!

On the 19th we were blessed with warm weather for a beautiful puja ceremony, the erection of our prayer flags, and blessings from Lama Tashi from Pangboche. We also said sad farewells to Mary Harley and Mike who accompanied our trek in and are now on their way back to lower warmer altitudes and Kathmandu over the weekend.

We are ready to climb!!
