As our successful Ama Dablam team make their way down to Kathmandu, celebrating a fantastic month of climbing all over the Khumbu, culminating in an absolutely beautiful summit day for Ama Dablam, we’re delighted to share some pictures from Willie! One of his favorite trips ever!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL and safe travels home!

Reagan and Lakpa Sherpa arriving at Camp 3 (the team did not sleep here, but made their summit push from Camp 2):
Four hours of climbing in the dark on the cold side of the ridge brings you, finally, to the sunny side! Reagan clearly enjoying the early morning sun here:
Reagan at his best:
Some of The Team! Willie and Lakpa:
Moving from Camp 1 to Camp 2 the previous day, following the amazing granite spine of Ama Dablam:
And getting higher and higher!:
Moving on and up into the shade of the grey tower:
Despite the cold, smiles are already showing, as we get ready to climb the last and difficult section of the Grey Tower. Lucky for us we have Spider-Man Pasang Sherpa with us!:
Moving Higher and Higher:
Happy team on the 6,812m Summit of Ama Dablam: Pasang Sherpa, Willie, Reagan, Lakpa Sherpa, Ringhi Sherpa, background Everest and Lhoste!:
“Dear Ama Dablam,
Thank you for granting us permission to stand atop you for just a few minutes, and for giving us such incredible views of the Himalayas!
We are forever grateful”:
